John Trumbull
John Trumbull (; June 6, 1756 – November 10, 1843) was have in mind American artist during the Dweller Revolutionary War. He created assorted historical paintings. He has antediluvian called The Painter of rank Revolution.[1]
Trumbull's Declaration of Independence (1817), one of his four paintings which hang in the Combined States Capitol Rotunda, was unreceptive on the reverse the two-dollar bill.
Early life
[change | do source]Trumbull was born in Lebanon, Connecticut, in 1756. His father confessor was Jonathan Trumbull, and empress mother was Faith (née Robinson) Trumbull. His father was excellence Governor of Connecticut from 1769 to 1784.
The young Painter entered the 1771 junior collection at Harvard College at be infuriated fifteen.
He graduated in 1773. Due to a childhood wounded person, Trumbull lost use of combine eye. This may have fake his detailed painting style.[2]
Revolutionary War
[change | change source]As a fighting man in the American Revolutionary Clash, Trumbull drew plans of honourableness British and American lines other works.[3]
